Abstraksi

Masyarakat Muslim Indonesia menolak logo halal baru yang dikeluarkan pemerintah. Penolakan ini membuat kegaduhan dan kontoversi di masyarakat. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memahami penolakan masyarakat terhadap logo yang sudah resmi berlalu sejak Maret 2022. Data tulisan ini diambil dari berita online dan media sosial yang berkaitan dengan komentar penolakan yang disampaikan. Penelitian ini menemukan alasan penolakan pada masing-masing kluster. Pertama penolakan di kalangan ulama terjadi ketidak jelasan halal, desain yang kurang jelas, dan psean yang tidak tersampaikan. Kedua, penolakan di Kalangan politikus disebabkan oleh kewenangan. Ketiga, penolakan di kalangan masyarakat umum disebabkan oleh cenderung pada unsur etnisitas tertentu, logika penulisan yang salah dan bisa dibaca dengan kata yang mempunyai arti kebalikannya dan kekurang indahan logo dibandingkan dengan logo sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menyimpulan bahwa penolakan logo tidak sebatas wacana logo sebagai penanda produk, tetapi lebih pada adanya kecurigaan umat Islam kepada pemerintah yang belakangan lebih cenderung melakukan marjinalisasi umat Islam, sehingga apapun yang dikeluarkan pemerintah untuk umat Islam cenderung mengalami kontroversi.
